Waterside is an inclusive space where anyone can pursue the creative art of blacksmithing. We were engaged to sharpen their brand's visual identity and online presence.
Alluding to the way heat morphs metal, we created a brand symbol that derived from the W letterform and celebrated the imperfect nature of working with your hands.
To convey the grit that comes with heating metal over coals, different textures were created to give backgrounds and typography depth. The colour palette references the way metal changes colour when exposed to heat, and is used subtly throughout the brand to ‘light up’ elements when required.
